Ustad Ghulam Mustafa Khan
Ustad Ghulam Mustafa Khan belongs to an illustrious school of music known as Sahaswan Rampur Gharana. This Gharana produced a number of Khayal singers since the time of its founder Ustad Inayat Hussain Khan.
Ustad’s forefathers were some of the most prized court musicians honoured and celebrated by the kings and maharajahs in a musical lineage that goes back 150 years.
He is the only artist to sing compositions derived from Natya Shastra & Brihat Deshi written by Matang Rishi & from Sharang Dev’s Sangeet Ratnakar based on Jaati Gayan.
Some of the many awards that have been conferred upon the Ustad are the Padmashri, Central Sangeet Natak Academy award, Swar Vilas by Sur Singar Samsad, Maharashtra Sanskrutik Puraskar. He was also awarded the Fellowship of Sangeet Natak Academy, Lucknow Besides this, Ustad Ghulam Mustafa Khan has also acted in the West German documentary film ‘Rainmaker’ in the befitting role of Baiju Bavara, and subsequently sang for the film.

Dr L. Subramaniam
Padmashree Dr L Subramaniam, India's violin icon, has produced, performed, conducted and released over 150 recordings.
At a very young age, he was honoured with the title ‘Violin Chakravarthy’ (emperor of the violin).
Dr Subramaniam pursued his Master's Degree in Western Classical Music in California.
He was a musical advisor to Peter Brook about the sound concepts for his ‘Mahabharata’. He has composed music for a select few films, including ‘Salaam Bombay’ and ‘Mississippi Masala’ and was the featured soloist for Bernardo Bertolucci's ‘Little Buddha’ and ‘Cotton Mary’ of Merchant – Ivory Productions.
Since 1973, Dr Subramaniam has made historic collaborations and recordings with people like Yehudi Menuhin, Stephane Grappelli, Jean-Pierre Rampal, Steven Seagal, Ruggiero Ricci, Arve Tellefsen, Herbie Hancock, Joe Sample, Stanley Clarke and Tony Williams to name a few.
In 1983, he crossed the frontiers of western classical tradition. ‘The Double Concerto for violin and flute’ combines western scales and micro intervals. ‘Spring – Rhapsody’ is a homage to Bach and Baroque music.
Over the years he has also written and created works for the worlds greatest orchestras such as The New York Philharmonic Orchestra and Zubin Mehta, The Swiss Romande Orchestra The Kirov Ballet, The Oslo Philharmonic Orchestra and The Berlin Opera, the live concert of which was broadcast simultaneously across 28 nations.
Dr Subramaniam has received several awards and honours, including the coveted Padma Bhushan and Sangeet Natak Akademi Award for ‘The Most Creative Artist’. In recognition of his contribution to the world of music, he has been conferred with an Honorary Doctorate (D.Lit) by both Bangalore University and University of Madras.

Matthew Smith
Matthew Smith is a classically trained tenor from Cincinnati Ohio. He received his Bachelor’s degree in Music Education and his Master’s degree in Vocal Performance from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio, where he studied voice under Clayton Parr, William Bausano, and Audrey Luna. He has appeared in numerous operas, including the roles of Albert Herring in Benjamin Britten’s Albert Herring and Rinnucio in Giaccomo Puccini’s Gianni Schicchi. He has conducted choirs for the last five years in Mason City Schools, which is one of the highest rated school districts in the state of Ohio. He has appeared in performances with Cincinnati Opera, Whitewater and Sorg Opera Companies, and the St. Peter in Chains Cathedral Choir.
